Challenges & objectives

The CARMAT prosthesis replaces the ventricles of the patient’s heart. It must be capable of autonomously controlling the blood flow from two ventricles in order to maintain a stable cardiac rhythm, adapted to the patient’s morphology and activity, whatever his position.

MSD software = prosthesis power supply and alarm monitoring.

The aim is for the patient to be able to return home and evolve in total autonomy.
