5G-mMTC Project

The 5G-mMTC project aims to develop a comprehensive and sovereign 5G platform integrating connected devices, 5G infrastructure, and Cloud/Edge applications, enabling industrial players to test their innovations at scale.

This platform leverages the key advantages of 5G — high throughput, low latency, and enhanced security — to deploy flexible and reconfigurable private networks.

The project is built around two concrete use cases: the connected bicycle for the French Cycling Federation, requiring a portable and highly secure private network to measure performance in competition; and telemetry for EDF, aimed at managing a heterogeneous fleet of sensors through network slicing to optimize and secure the management of energy infrastructures. The overarching objective is to reduce the costs and risks associated with 5G IoT projects while accelerating industrial deployments.
