Development of a Test Bench for Electromechanical Systems (RGL) Controlling Nuclear Power Plant Control Rod Clusters

AREVA Project

This project focuses on the design of a test apparatus for the electromechanical systems (RGL) controlling control rod clusters in nuclear power plants.

The primary objective is to integrate two racks (acquisition and computing) into a single, robust, CE/EMC-certified cabinet, while addressing hardware obsolescence. The technical development is based on LabWindows/CVI and PXI chassis with National Instruments boards.

The scope includes ergonomic optimization of the workstation and the production of bilingual documentation. The project concludes with qualification testing and on-site commissioning support directly in China.
