Design of a New Architecture for a Product Range Using the IEC 61850 Standard

Ringo Project

Médiane Système supported its client in defining requirements and developing a new architecture for its next-generation product range, communicating via the IEC 61850 standard. This new architecture integrates seamlessly into digital control, command, and protection systems.

The architecture is based on a Linux distribution incorporating a container management system (software compartmentalization based on OS-level virtualization) and the implementation of the MMS, GOOSE, and SV communication protocols defined by the IEC 61850 standard.

Objective: A modular product designed to promote interoperability and ensure compatibility independence across product generations.

Our achievements

Each project reflects our ability to turn critical requirements into concrete solutions. From embedded software layers to functional safety, Médiane Système brings together all of its expertise to deliver innovative, robust, and production-ready solutions.
