Obsolescence Management of an Electronic Board for a Water Purifier

Project

This project involves managing the obsolescence of the CPLD on the electronic board of an Ultra Pure water purifier (SMART system). The objective is to select a compatible replacement component and adapt the voltage levels, power supplies, and VHDL code to guarantee full functional equivalence.

The work includes defining a new hardware and software architecture, as well as coordinating subcontractors for the update of the industrial documentation package. A critical qualification testing phase (EMC, thermal, CE and FCC marking) ensures compliance with applicable standards.

Finally, the entire process is validated through unit and integration testing on the actual machine.
