Development of an HMD (Head-Medium Display) Demonstrator
Johnson Controls Project
This project involves designing an HMD (Head-Medium Display) demonstrator for the Frankfurt Motor Show, using a TFT LCD screen to project information onto a windshield. Based on a NEC V850 microcontroller, the system integrates brightness adjustment and image position control functions via dedicated buttons.
The work encompassed the design and development of the embedded software as well as the modification of a pre-existing electronic architecture.
The technical environment relies on tools such as Greenhills, IECUBE, and Subversion for version management. The ultimate objective was to present a fully functional user interface with comprehensive virtual display management.
