Lithium-Ion Battery Management for Hybrid Vehicles
Johnson Controls CSC Project
This project focuses on the development of the CSC board integrated into the Lithium-Ion Battery Management System (BMS) for hybrid vehicles.
The architecture comprises a motherboard controlling 8 CSC boards via a CAN bus to supervise 12 battery cells. The scope includes electronic design (CAD schematics, 6-layer PCB) and embedded software development on a NEC V850 microcontroller.
The system ensures precise measurement of voltage and temperature, as well as detection of overpressure, undervoltage, and overheating. The delivery extends from prototype and pre-series manufacturing through to the development of dedicated test benches.
